When travelling to Bali, you cannot miss the opportunity to see the beautiful underwater world. Whether you are a professional diver or never have dived before, Bali is the perfect destination to discover whether diving is something for you. There are multiple diving schools near the coast of Sanur and more in the north of the island. You have the opportunity to book an excursion for numerous days, day trips and tryouts in the swimming pool. Many tourists come to Bali to get their diving certification.
Blue Season Bali
When you want to go diving, I recommend you go to Blue Season Bali. The location of Blue Season Bali is very central, and the diving school is located in Sanur. Blue Season Bali is an award-winning five-star PADI Career Development Centre (CDC) committed to showing you the best diving destinations in Bali. The options with Blue Season Bali are unlimited, from snorkelling, diving trips, PADI courses, dive safari, dive master & instructor to visiting their dive resort in Menjangan for something off the beaten track.
All the activities are all-inclusive, so you do not have to worry about any surprise costs when booking a trip. They also have air-conditioning in all classrooms and speak up to eight languages, which means that you can most of the time be taught in your language. All the instructors are certified PADI divemasters, and the instructor ratio is a maximum ratio of four divers to one guide, which feel safe.
Discover Scuba Diving Tulamben
When you are unsure if diving is something for you, the PADI Discovery Scuba Diving is perfect. For this program, you have to be ten years or older. There are two other programs for young children. The Discover Scuba Diving is a one-day experience where you go to a maximum depth of 12 meters. When you arrive at the dive school in the morning, you first get a briefing of what you will do that day and have to fill in some paperwork regarding insurance and your medical background.

After this, you will get your diving gear fitted and be ready to go to Tulamben, a 2,5-hour drive from Sanur. Tulamben is located on the dry arid North East coast. This area offers gentle diving conditions suitable for the first experience of the beautiful underwater world. When you arrive, you can first choose which meal you want for lunch since everything is included.
Then you start in the swimming pool, which is very nice because you can stand when you first try the equipment. When you are nervous, the instructor will make you feel at ease and explain things multiple times. After you can do everything you need to be able to before going into the ocean, you are ready for your first dive. The exercises include:
- Cleaning your goggles from water.
- Equalizing your ears.
- Finding out how the regulator works where you breathe underwater.

This is a weird experience initially, but you get used to it. After you go to the swimming pool, it’s time for the sea. The diving site is beautiful alongside the 125.43-meter-long USAT Liberty shipwreck. This makes your first time diving a memorable experience, and I can almost assure you that you will fall in love with the ocean.
To conclude, diving is something you should try when you are visiting Bali. The ocean has so much beauty that you cannot see from the surface. And when you are staying nearby, Sanur Blue Season Bali is your place to go for scuba diving and snorkelling.
