Bali received exciting news at the end of 2022 with the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, at Puri Anyar Kerambitan in Tabanan. Coming with 25 foreign investors, Sandiaga stated that to attract investment in the tourism and creative economy sector, a Golden Visa would soon be applied for investors from overseas.
The Golden Visa is an immigration programme that allows wealthy people to obtain a longer residence permit or citizenship in another country, simply by buying a house there, making an investment or a relatively large donation.
This foreign investors gathering with Sandiaga Uno was co-organised by Robert Ian Bonnick, a leading Tourism Architect in Bali. As a master connector with extensive experience in the upper echelon of hospitality, Robert focuses on helping tourism boards & operators/businesses to generate more inbound tourism.
Sandiaga also explained that foreign investors from various countries have invested and will increase their investment in Bali. Apart from accommodating questions from foreign investors, Sandiaga also emphasized that foreign investment must maintain local wisdom, as emphasized by Deputy Regent of Tabanan, I Made Edi Wirawan.
The fact that restrictions no longer exist due to cases of COVID in recent months being at a low level, community activities can be carried out normally. That being said, Sandiaga has set a target of 7.4 million international tourists will visit Bali in 2023.
