Demonstrating its continuous commitment to serve the community, Marriott Business Council Bali held the “Shoes to School” donation handover ceremony today at Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai. This year, a total of 2,750 pairs of school shoes were donated to children in need across Bali, Lombok, and Labuan Bajo, made possible through the collective generosity of associates from 30 Marriott hotels and resorts across the three regions.

The Shoes to School initiative is part of Marriott International’s Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction platform, which focuses on making a positive and sustainable impact in the communities where Marriott operates. The program provides essential school shoes to children, ensuring they can attend school comfortably and confidently, a simple yet meaningful contribution to their educational journey.
The event was attended by representatives from The Department of Social Services for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of Bali Province (Dinas Sosial, Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (Dinsos P3A) Provinsi Bali), as well as local school and foundation partners who helped facilitate the distribution of the shoes to children in their care. Among the participating children’s welfare foundations (Lembaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak) were William Booth, Tat Twam Asi, Yappa, Widya Asih Badung, and Bukit Kehidupan.
This year’s contribution continues to highlight the strong spirit of giving among associates from Marriott International’s properties in Bali, whose voluntary donations made the program possible. Their collective effort reflects the company’s enduring culture of care and commitment to supporting the communities where they live and work.
“The Shoes to School program is a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together with purpose,” said I Wayan Raksa, General Manager of Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa and Co-chair of Marriott Business Council Bali. “This initiative not only brings comfort and confidence to children in our communities, but also represents the kindness and solidarity of our associates who make this possible every year.”
Subin Dharman, General Manager of W Bali – Seminyak and PIC of Serve360 Pillar of Marriott Business Council Bali, added: “This program perfectly embodies the essence of Serve360, serving with heart and creating meaningful change where we live and work. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire our associates, guests, and partners to continue contributing to the well-being of our local communities.”
