As the 2026 World Cup gets closer, Legian’s main street in Kuta has just welcomed a new spot for sports lovers. Chook and Roos Sport Bar officially opened on Friday, 5 June 2026, bringing a modern sports bar vibe that mixes entertainment, sport, and a laid‑back atmosphere all in one place.

The idea is to give both tourists and locals a fresh option — somewhere to catch their favourite matches while chilling with mates, family, or even their sports community.
Owner Leonard Suwandi explained that the concept was designed to meet the needs of both domestic and international visitors who flock to Bali, especially Legian and Kuta, which are buzzing tourist hubs. “We want to offer something different. Guests can enjoy their favourite sports matches while soaking up a comfy, fun atmosphere with friends or family,” he said at the launch.

But it’s not just about watching the game. Chook and Roos comes packed with extras: live music, pool tables, table tennis, and even a gym upstairs. It’s all set up to create a lively vibe and give sports fans a place to gather.
With the World Cup around the corner, the bar has lined up special facilities for big screen watch parties. The timing of the opening couldn’t be better to introduce the venue to a wider crowd.
Supervisor Oka Gunawan highlighted the prime location right in the heart of Legian as a big plus. Easy to reach, spacious, and — importantly — with proper parking. “We know parking is a challenge in Legian, so we’ve made sure there’s enough space for visitors to feel comfortable,” he explained.
That’s a real bonus, especially since Legian is famously packed during holidays and weekends.
The buzz was clear from day one. Tobias Pattisina, a tourist from Jakarta, said the concept was spot‑on: “It’s comfy and well‑equipped. You can watch matches, play pool or table tennis, hit the gym, or just hang out with friends. I think it’s got the potential to become a favourite for both tourists and locals.”
He also pointed out that being in Kuta‑Legian is a win in itself, right in the middle of Bali’s tourist action.
With all these facilities, Chook and Roos Sport Bar is aiming to be a go‑to hub for fun and fitness. Whether you’re into football, pool, table tennis, or just keeping fit, it’s a place to enjoy your hobbies and relax under one roof.
The hope is that it’ll add even more colour to Kuta‑Legian’s entertainment scene and become a top spot for watching global sports events — especially the 2026 World Cup.
