To mark the 80th anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel is organizing a vibrant and meaningful series of events celebrating the spirit of unity, wellness, culture, and inspiration for the younger generation which called Festival Satu Nusantara. These celebrations will bring together local communities, employees, and schoolchildren to commemorate the nation’s journey with pride and purpose.
The festivities will begin on Thursday, August 14, 2025, with an event titled HOPE: Let’s Inspire the Next Generation to Dream Big!, held at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel and Discovery Mall Bali. This initiative will involve students from SD Negeri 3 Kuta.
On Friday, August 15, 2025, the celebration continues with Together We Walk, Together We Thrive: Embrace Health, One Step at a Time!, a community walk involving 80 participants from staff. The event promotes a healthy lifestyle and symbolizes Indonesia’s collective journey toward resilience, well-being, and togetherness.
The main Independence Day celebration will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, beginning with a flag-raising ceremony in traditional Balinese attire, followed by traditional Indonesian independence games that reflect the country’s rich heritage.
Later that morning, the Parade Nusantara will showcase Indonesia’s cultural richness through a special collaborative performance featuring a choir singing traditional Nusantara songs, a mini parade in regional costumes, and a captivating Seka Gong performance. The parade is designed to highlight Indonesia’s cultural diversity and shared identity.
On the same day, Rasa Nusantara invites guests to immerse themselves in a culinary and cultural celebration, featuring traditional Indonesian dishes and a vibrant cultural parade. A special food package, Rasa Nusantara OFYR All-You-Can-Eat, will be available for only IDR 275,000, offering an authentic taste of Indonesia’s culinary heritage in a festive and inclusive setting.
