From 19 to 25 September 2025, the resort will host its signature Autograph Moment, the Melukat Ceremony, a traditional Balinese water purification ritual, held daily from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM within the resort grounds.
Rooted in the spiritual energy of Sebatu Village, Cicada Resort Bali Ubud is envisioned as a soulful sanctuary where modern travelers reconnect with nature, culture, and themselves. The resort’s Autograph Moment reflects this philosophy: an authentic, immersive ritual led by a Pemangku, a revered Balinese spiritual leader, offering guests a deeply personal journey of renewal.
The Melukat Ceremony is a centuries-old tradition believed to cleanse the mind, body, and soul from negative energies. Guided by the Pemangku and supported by the resort’s associates, guests begin with a Pejati offering at the Padmasana, a sacred altar where prayers and intentions are set. The purification follows, as holy water from a sacred spring flows over participants, symbolically washing away stress and restoring inner balance. The ritual concludes with a blessing, leaving guests with a profound sense of harmony and clarity.
The ceremony has drawn strong interest from guests, with an average of 10 participants joining each session, highlighting the growing desire for authentic, spiritually rooted experiences in Ubud. As part of Autograph Moment Week, Cicada Resort Bali Ubud reaffirms its commitment to honoring authentic Balinese traditions while creating experiences that celebrate individuality, craftsmanship, and the unique character of Ubud.
