What better way to spend new years eve than on the tropical island of Bali? It does not matter if you are already visiting Bali or coming to Bali for New Year’s Eve. You have made the right decision! There are loads of different options to celebrate New Year’s Eve on the island, from events during the day to parties late at night. The whole island will turn into a festive mood. When planning to come on New Year’s Eve, booking your flights and accommodations early is essential because it is peak season, and you can avoid disappointment.

Kuta is one of the famous destinations to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Bali. The vibrant city next to the beach will host many parties, and the bars will join the New Year’s Eve festivities. You will also see many people down the beach listening to live music and relaxing with a few drinks. Kuta will be a vibrant place to be on New Year’s Eve.

If you want to avoid huge crowds, you can visit Seminyak. Seminyak will be more laid back than Kuta. In Seminyak, you have multiple options to have nice dinners, later enjoy some of the bars alongside the beach, and watch fireworks at midnight. Puputan Badung Square offers a nice party from the afternoon until late at night with a carnival and parade, and at the end of the night, there will be fireworks. You can also enjoy the light works in the Jimbaran night sky. Something that you can not miss on New Year’s Eve is the fireworks. Visit the south side of Jimbaran beach and cosy up on the sand.

Ubud is the perfect place to enjoy the elite musical experience with like-minded people of good music and foot at one of the jazz eateries and clubs. Ubud is also known as the Jazz capital of Bali. Many restaurants and bars even organise traditional dancers to jazz music.

If you want to go more for the culture, the best place to go is Sanur. Perfect for the elderly and more reserved tourists that are not interested in the party scene. Here you will find the more traditional way of celebrating New Year with traditional dances accompanied by dramatic music.

Besides all the bars and restaurants where you can celebrate New Year’s Eve, there will also be many parties organised by the big (beach)clubs and hotels. The locations of these parties are all around Bali, which means there is always something nearby that fits your likeability. You can find some of the best listed below.

To conclude, there are various activities that you can do during New Year’s in Bali. From one of the many parties to relaxing and enjoying the jazz music in Ubud. It does not matter where you are on the island. Everywhere is something unique to do during this holiday.
