Hospitality is about more than creating memorable experiences for guests. It begins with the people behind every stay. With this spirit in mind, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali celebrated Accor Purpose Week 2026 from June 29 to July 3, bringing Heartists from across the resort together for a week of learning, collaboration and friendly competition. Inspired by this year’s theme, “Pioneering the Art of Responsible Hospitality, Connecting Cultures, with Heartfelt Care,” the week encouraged Heartists to step outside their daily routines and re connect with Heartist from different departments.

The week began with Pioneering Day, where Heartists put their brand knowledge to the test in the Match the Brand quiz before joining forces in the Highest Tower Challenge, building the tallest and strongest paper towers using only paper and tape. The fun continued with Artful Day, where participants stepped outside their usual roles to take part in a Mocktail Challenge and a Napkin Folding Challenge. With each department sending its own representatives, many participants had never worked behind a bar or in housekeeping before, making the experience both entertaining and eye opening. The challenges gave Heartists a chance to appreciate the skills and precision behind different roles across the resort while proving that learning something new is often most rewarding when shared with colleagues.
Responsible Day shifted the focus to sustainability as Heartists joined the Plastic Hero Waste Challenge, collecting plastic waste around the resort and its surrounding area. The day continued with the Eco Race Challenge, where teams tackled a series of games inspired by waste management and the 5R principles: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle. From answering sustainability quizzes and arranging the correct 5R sequence to turning collected waste into creative new items, the activities encouraged participants to see waste not simply as something to throw away, but as a resource that can be given a second life. The following day, Connecting Cultures Day celebrated Indonesia’s rich diversity through the Guess My Culture challenge and a lively Traditional Costume Fashion Show, giving Heartists the opportunity to learn more about the country’s traditions while celebrating the diversity that makes the workplace stronger.
The celebration wrapped up with Heartfelt Care Day, a day dedicated to gratitude and togetherness. The Heartist canteen transformed into a vibrant food market featuring local UMKM serving favourites local food. Adding a personal touch, members of the resort’s Executive Committee stepped behind the serving counters to personally serve meals to Heartists, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The afternoon continued with the announcement of competition winners, karaoke and a symbolic fingerprint ceremony, where every participant left their thumbprint on a large tree mural beneath the theme “Pioneering the Art of Responsible Hospitality, Connecting Cultures, with Heartfelt Care.” More than the closing of a week of activities, the mural became a reminder that every Heartist, regardless of their role, contributes to building a workplace rooted in collaboration, inclusion and genuine care. Through Accor Purpose Week, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali reaffirmed its belief that great hospitality starts with people by creating an environment where Heartists feel connected, appreciated and inspired to make a positive difference every day.
