This March, immerse in the splendour of Indonesia’s sacred religious days: Nyepi, the annual “Day of Silence” celebrating the Balinese New Year, and Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday marking the end of Ramadhan’s holy month of fasting. The fortunate timing of tranquil Nyepi this year coincides with the celebrations of Eid. These joyous cultural holidays feature vibrant ornamentation and special dishes shared with family and friends.
Embark on a culinary expedition across the sprawling Indonesian archipelago with a collection of sweet and savoury traditional delicacies, all of which celebrate the wealth of Indonesia’s indigenous ingredients.
