Known as the GM of Karma Kandara, Shaun Dünhofen has been responsible for maintaining the resort’s stellar reputation, earning industry accolades and steering a successful course post-Covid to the benefit of staff and guests alike since he took on the position in November 2021.
But that’s not all Shaun does. He shows the same levels of dedication to Karma Kandara’s long-standing philanthropic partnerships through the Karma Cares programme, most notably with the Bali Life Foundation, which works with disadvantaged children and women as well as the Bali Children’s Project and the Kupu-Kupu Foundation, which is more focused on those with disabilities in Bali.
Shaun’s work along with his team at Karma Kandara has gained widespread recognition within the local hospitality industry on the island such that he’s now been invited to join the Board of the Bali Hotels Association (BHA). In the words of Diah Ajung, BHA’s Executive Director, “[Shaun] has been appointed to the Board of Bali Hotels Association for our Community Relations & Charity program. This appointment is a testament to Shaun Dünhofen’s outstanding leadership skills and experience in the hospitality industry. We are confident that he will bring valuable insights and contributions to the Board, as well as to our association’s efforts in promoting tourism in Bali.”
Congratulations to Shaun for the exciting new role with the BHA: the new position will allow him and the Karma Cares programme as a whole to have an even greater positive impact in helping make Bali a paradise not just for those that visit the island, but for everyone who calls it home.
Nice one! NOt only Karma focus on commercial things but they also bring back to the communities! Well done!
Thanks for the comment. They indeed do a good deed!
