Businessman Jamie McIntyre and development activities associated with the brand Lux Projects Bali have come under renewed scrutiny following statements from a former director of the Indonesian company linked to the project.
Christina Natalia, who previously served as a director of PT Bali Real Estate Investments, said she decided to speak publicly after reviewing internal financial records and company documentation connected to the Bali development.

According to Natalia, PT Bali Real Estate Investments is the Indonesian legal entity associated with development activity marketed under the brands Lux Projects Bali and Lux Property Group. In property development, it is common for projects to be promoted under marketing brands while contracts, funding, and legal obligations are handled by the registered corporate entity.
However, Natalia said her later review of financial records raised questions about the company’s operational structure and financial position during the construction period.
Small-scale Bali villa development
The development associated with Lux Projects Bali was described by Natalia as a relatively small villa project located in Kerobokan, Bali, just north of the tourism hub of Seminyak.
Images circulating online have shown flooding conditions at the site during periods of heavy rainfall, leading to concerns that the project may have been built in a flood-prone area. Reports have also indicated that the construction site was closed by local authorities, including Satpol PP, temporarily halting development activity.
Observers note that construction sites can be shut down when projects face compliance issues related to permits, zoning, or other regulatory requirements.
Contractor disputes emerge
The development also drew attention in Australian media coverage. A report by Channel 9 News highlighted disputes involving contractors connected to the Bali project.
According to the report, contractors claimed they had not been paid for construction work carried out at the site. Some of the disputes have reportedly progressed into civil proceedings in Indonesia.
Construction experts say contractor payment conflicts can occur when development projects encounter financial pressure or construction delays.
Financial records raise concerns
Natalia said that during her time as director she reviewed company financial documents connected to PT Bali Real Estate Investments.
Based on those records, she claims the company was operating with limited available capital during periods when construction activity was ongoing. The documentation also included transactions involving loans or withdrawals linked to McIntyre.
McIntyre has described himself in promotional materials as a billionaire. Natalia said the financial records she reviewed appeared inconsistent with those public claims.
According to her statements, company accounts at certain times showed balances in the thousands of Australian dollars, raising questions about the company’s capacity to independently fund development activities.
Lombok project discussions
Natalia also referred to discussions involving a separate property development in Lombok.
She said McIntyre sought to participate in the project through a Corporate Share Purchase Agreement (CSPA) tied to a master-planned development created by Kinnara.
While the association with a recognised regional property platform brought credibility to the project, Natalia said the financial contribution required under the agreement was not completed.
She also claimed that financial documentation she reviewed raised questions about whether funds from property sales during that period were redirected to support construction activity linked to the Bali development, which she said was facing funding pressure and contractor payment obligations.
Natalia said the documentation has since been provided to legal representatives reviewing the matter.
